American rapper and a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, Raekwon, debuted his iconic solo album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 20 years ago. Being noted as one of the greatest albums of all-time, a special rendition of the Diadora N.9000, made in conjunction with Packer Shoes, has been utilized to celebrate the momentous occasion. This Packer Shoes x Raekwon x Diadora N.9000 “Purple Tape” variation essentially takes inspiration from the original clear Purple hue of the original cassette tape version. Overall boasting a plush premium suede and mesh construction in multiple shades of Purple, the commemorative silhouette is further detailed with a co-branded Packer x Raekwon x Diadora tongue label, which is a direct drawback to the “Parental Advisory” tag, in addition to a “1995” side embroidery paying homage to the album’s year of release. Other notable finishes consists of “side 1″ & “side 2″ embroidery on the rear of both shoes, a corresponding album track listing on both footbeds, a translucent Purple tinted outsole, Metallic silver midsole and 4 shoe lace options.
