The Air Jordan 7 (VII) Retro – Black / Dark Charcoal – True Red were released on December 14, 2002 and retailed for $125. The are almost exact copies of the originas, but feature a brighter purple color scheme than the old skool version. The shoe is completely black, which may seem bland, but the purple and red accents definitely draw attention to the shoe, contrasting from the black base. The lines on the shoe, although hard to see due to the all black colorway, were influenced by Western African tribal patterns, which were a poster that Tinker Hatfield purchased in Portland, Oregon. Although simple, they are one of the more sought after colorways in the Air Jordan 7 (VII) line- up.
