The Air Jordan 16 (XVI) Original (OG) + Q M – Whisper White / Cherrywood – Light Graphite were released on June 2, 2001, and retailed for $160. They feature a white upper constructed from leather, as well as a burgundy color at the back half of the shoe, as well as the outsole. They also feature an air bubble which spans pretty much the entire length of the shoe. The Air Jordan 16 (XVI) is a combination of different elements from previous Air Jordans. For example, you can see the patent leather located on the toe from the Air Jordan 11 (XI), the ribbed leather gaiter similar to the uppers of the Air Jordan 14 (XIV). Also, the 3/4 midcut from the Air Jordan 3 (III), and the mesh uppers from the Air Jordan 5 (V). The shoe also features a “shroud” or lace covering, which hides the laces and really adds some character to the shoe. In this case, the Jordan shroud is grey, which goes well with the shoe’s colorway.
