This year’s Vans Custom Culture Competition brought in 2000 participants, the most the competition has seen within its 5 year history. Originally created to empower high school students to express their creativity via art and design, the Vans Custom Culture Competition-in partnership with Americans for the Arts, Journeys and truth-has finally locked in this years semi-finalists. Of all the schools that registered in this years competition, 50 of them have really stood out for their submissions; a four-piece collection which all seem to redefine originality and creativity.

We’ve seen several custom designs for a number of Vans silhouettes, but we haven’t seen anything like this before. Last years submissions, in the gallery above, were pretty phenomenal themselves that we could only imagine what this years competition has in store for us. But theres sure to be plenty of Van EraVans Sk8-Hi, and Vans Slip-On canvas art to go around. Help them out with the voting process this year and head over to Vans to tell them which design you think is best!
