The Valentino Rockrunner, which bears a strong resemblance to the Nike Internationalist, is essentially a luxurious take of the runner from the elite Italian fashion house.
Defined by the application of studs on the side panels for a contemporary edge, the silhouette is comprised of a Dark Rutenio-colored leather upper with tonal black suede overlays throughout to further exude its premium build.
The model emits a slight sheen as well, as the color is inspired from Ruthenium, a rare transition metal belonging to the platinum group of the periodic table.
Further detailed with a stud embellishment on the heel, the model is finished off with a yellowed midsole for vintage appeal and a black outsole.
You can purchase a pair at select Valentino stockists worldwide now for a price tag of $679.
These are statement sneakers and with that price tag, it’s an investment (especially if it’s out of your price range). I’m a fan of this silhouette and in this colorway, it’s really nice. I’m just biased towards runners or runner-inspired designs.
