Nike and the University of Portland have finally landed an 8-year athletic apparel partnership extension that will keep the University decked out through the 2021-2022 school year. It was way back in 2002 when the University signed its first deal, which just so happened to be prior to the school’s first women’s soccer national championship, good luck I think not. Back in 2007 Nike helped create a new logo system for the University and once again Nike is now working hard on a complete brand refresh that will affect the school’s 15 varsity sports. The rebranding is set to be unveiled at the Oct. 24th women’s soccer match against Pepperdine University, this just another prime example of Adidas‘ lack of signage and Nike’s aggressive business model.
