According to The Baltimore Sun, teens are harder to pin point than other athletes. Elite women athletes specifically are almost always seen repping UA, but Under Armour has lost favor among teen girls.
As far as athletic apparel, Under Armour was in second place right behind Nike as the preferred brand for women, according to a research study by Piper Jaffray. The new rankings show that UA has slipped to third place, while Lululemon has stolen second. Nike, for obvious reasons, remains in first.
The research survey suggests that Lululemon is able to reach upper-income teens, while Under Armour isn’t necessarily on their radar. However, in terms of footwear, UA moved up to number 9, from 12 since last year. The take away? Nike is still dominating.
