The bartender meticulously mixes his next order with dexterity. He shakes and pours it with precise accuracy. Then he grabs the green oblong shaped accompaniments, piercing three of them with a small wooden toothpick. He takes care to place the olives gently across the glass of the Dirty Martini. Beyonce’s “Party” plays in the background chopped and screwed.
This was the scene set by Philadelphia sneaker shop Ubiq during a 90 second teaser as they embark on another collaborative journey. This go around they link up with the collab friendly Sacouny utilizing their Saucony Grid 9000. The theme is beautifully realized on the smooth suede silhouette of the UBIQ x Saucony Grid 9000 “Dirty Martini”. Resembling the olive, the kicks are predominantly that smooth shade of green. Like the inside of the olive, orange is accentuated throughout the kicks giving them pop. The martini’s off white coloring comes into play on the lining and portions of the toe and midsole.
The kicks are set to release this weekend, March 8th, in the City of Brotherly Love. Check back later for full release details.
