December is now upon us and that means the road to this year’s Air Jordan 11 has begun. But for those of us who don’t want to suffer the indignity of being featured on the morning news looking like a crazy person for lining up in the cold winter to hand over $220 (plus tax) for a pair of retros, there are plenty of other kicks that won’t require as much effort or money. Not only that, December is known for having a surprise or two up their sleeve, including a stunning Jordan-less pack that honors the seminal film He Got Game, so while the release schedule already looks stacked, expect things to change as we get closer and closer to the 25th.

Yeah, now I'm nostalgic for the movie now that it's not about some lame Jordans.
Yeah, now I’m nostalgic for the movie now that 13s aren’t involved.

Note: Because of today’s cancellation, we didn’t include the adidas Yeezy Boost 750 Black. Also not a part of this list is the still-to-be-revealed Nike Basketball Christmas Collection and possibly the Nike Kobe 11.

10. Air Jordan XX9 Low

air jordan xx9 lowRelease Date: December ?

Price: $185
Will it sell out? Nope

The Air Jordan XX9 Low finally makes its way onto retailers. Michael Jordan was the first to be seen rocking a XX9 Low and while that doesn’t mean much today, there are still does who see that as a sign of approval from the GOAT. Personally, I love the XX9 and can’t wait to see this in person and even if I don’t cop this first colorway, more will be coming down the pipeline for me.

9. adidas Basketball Christmas Collection

The adidas J Wall 2 Is Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas 1

Release Date: December 18
Price: Varies
Will it sell out? Nope

No matter how hard the three stripes they just can’t seem to beat Nike at their own Christmas game when it comes to popularity. It’s a shame few recognize adidas has actually dropped better Christmas kicks than Nike some years, but good for us frugal sneakerheads who can’t wait to cop some of these at sale prices.

8. Nike Air Trainer Cruz Wolf Grey

Nike Air Trainer Cruz 1Release Date: December 11
Price: $140
Will it sell out? Won’t last long

The Wheat colorway of the Cruz Trainer was always destined to go fast since its the first colorway of a new Nike signature shoe. Now the real test comes with the successive colorways. The Wolf Grey will appeal to more appeal with its conservative look, but if people already had their fill with the Wheat, will they come back for round 2?

7. Under Armour Curry Two Suit And Tie

Finish Line
Finish Line

Release Date: December 11
Price: $130
Will it sell out? It’ll be around for a few weeks

As we see more Curry Two colorways hit the market, we start to see just how much value there is in the NBA superstar and his ability to sell sneakers. Many of the initial Curry Two colorways are tough to find now, so if you want to cop this Suit and Tie, you might want to consider getting them before the new year hits.

6. Air Jordan 8 Chrome

Air Jordan 8 Chrome

Release Date: December 26
Price: $190

Will it sell out? Nope

The other beloved Air Jordan 8 is sneaking in through the back door of 2015. With people more than likely still burned out by 72-10 hysteria, this pair will sit in stores for a while.

5. PSNY x Air Jordan 12

air-jordan-12-psny-public-school-11Release Date: December 17
Price: $300
Will it sell out? Yup

Good luck even finding these.

4. Air Jordan 6 Maroon

Air Jordan 6 Maroon 5 Release Date: December 5
Price: $220
Will it sell out? Yup

Is “Nike Air” worth a $30 premium? It will work on beloved classics like the Air Jordan 3 Retro ’88 or next year’s Air Jordan 4 White Cement ’89, but on a relatively obscure OG? That will be the most interesting thing about this Friday’s release.

3. Nike Kyrie 2

Nike Kyrie 2Release Date: December 15
Price: $130
Will it sell out? Yup

Uncle Drew moves sneakers. The Nike Kyrie 1 was the choice of the people in the same way Kevin Durant’s signature kicks used to have the public’s adoration. But with a higher price point and a look that seems to borrow a lot from the instantly classic Nike Zoom KD 4, can the Nike Kyrie 2 pull off a repeat performance?

2. Nike Sportswear Class of ’97 Pack

Class Of 97

Release Date: December 18
Price: $385
Will it sell out? Yup

A tribute pack to He Got Game is set to drop in December and features the two best kicks in the movie (what?), the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pearl and the Nike Zoom Hawk Flight. Priced lower than most Nike/Jordan packs, people might just buy this for the novelty. If I can’t get a pack, hopefully people will try to dump the Hawk Flight for cheap because that’s the one I really want anyways.

1. Air Jordan 11 72-10

Release Date: December 19
Price: $220
Will it sell out? Duh…

Dear sneaker community,

Don’t do this on December 19th in front a news camera. Just stop…
