We continue our Kicks On Fire Best of 2013 features with our picks for the 10 best adidas Performance Kicks this year. It has certainly been a trying year for the three stripes with a handful of their top athletes getting hurt during high profile situations. There is the justifiable argument to be made that adidas should change course with regards to the athletes that they endorse and products they make at least from a marketing standpoint (some names might be too damaged to salvage), but to swear off simply based off of what they see on television is asinine. We could take the high road and not tell those idiots on social media that for every adidas guy that got hurt, we could name three guys from a certain other brand that went down with injury as well, but we won’t do that; nope, not at all.

Beyond the NBA and NFL, adidas was also making strides in other areas. This year saw the introduction of not one but two revolutionary new technologies in their running shoes that we hope (well, those who swear by them hope) to see grow into something great, the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship featured two adidas schools (Louisville and Michigan) playing for the title, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray won two of tennis’ major championship rocking the three stripes and Dustin Johnson and his amazing personal logo capped things off by getting engaged to Paulina Gretzky. What?

(And yes, this list is just for adidas Performance. Originals will get its own day because they deserve it.)
