Back in March we gave you a look at two upcoming colorways of the Nike Air Pippen 6. One featured red and black, an obvious colorway that was inspired by the Chicago Bulls, and the other came with a white base and black and purple accents. We were left wondering what was the significance or inspiration behind the second colorway.
Well now we know that it’s an homage to Scottie Pippen’s alma mater, the University of Central Arkansas. This Air Pippen 6 features a white leather upper with iridescent Court Purple on the iridescent patent leather mudguard, outsole, flywire and Swoosh branding. This is a pretty cool dedication to his college career as a Sugar Bear if you ask me. We don’t have a release date for this “Sugar Bears” colorway of the Nike Air Pippen 6 yet, but stay tuned to Kicks on Fire for the latest information regarding this and all other Nike Basketball sneakers.
Are you feeling this colorway or do you like the black and red versions better?

Scottie Pippen is one of the greatest NBA players ever that doesn’t get enough credit for all of the work he put in during his two threepeats with the Bulls. I like the concept behind this Air Pippen 6, but I just don’t like the silhouette.
