Diadora keeps the collaborations coming as if they’re life depended on it. This time around they have teamed up with UK’s Hanon to pay homage to its hometown football club, the Aberdeen F.C.’s most finest moment. Back in 1983, Alex Ferguson led his team to Winners Cup victories over football titans Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, thus winning their first ever European trophy! Let’s take a look at the The Hanon x Diadora B.Elite “The Spirit of ’83”.
The Hanon x Diadora B.Elite “The Spirit of ’83” will be done up in a red premium suede upper paired up with kangaroo leather that happens to come in the same tonal colorway. Adding the the theme of the shoe is the pin-striped collar lining which pay homage to the jerseys the team wore. An “83” is placed on the heel signifying the year this epic feat occurred. Completing the collaboration is the dual-branding placed on the tongue, heel and back tab of the shoe. The shoes are hand-crafted in Diadora’s Caerano Di San Marco factory and will come with a special dust bag, lacing and packaging. Set to release October 10th in limited quantities at Hanon a well as in other retailers in Japan and the U.S.
The material on the shoe look to be top notch. The actual model, not so much. If this was done on another more popular model it would have been so much better. Oh well.
