Asics introduced the Asics GT-DS this past week. It was mainly greeted with rave reviews with a few people here and there suggesting it was an Asics version of the Nike Air Huarache. If you’re one of the people who were diggin’ the inaugural all-red colorway on the GT-DS, there’s a good chance you’re going to like this brand new tonal offering.

This time around the shoe comes in an all-black motif that covers the entire neoprene slip-on upper. Embossed branding appears on the side panels, while the tonal heel cage complete the major features on the upper. Below you will find visible GEL cushioning in the midsole to complete the major features on the shoe . Said to be inspired by vintage looks combined with modern aesthetics, the GT-DS has a pretty clean look and feel that anyone can appreciate. Arriving now at select retailers, pick up your very own pair for $100.

I’m one of the people who like the shoe. The heel cage is dope and different coming out of Asics. The embossed branding is also pretty clean. Looking forward to try on a pair!
