In early 2015, Nike Basketball payed tribute to basketball in the city Tianjin, China, where the sport was introduced more than 100 years ago in 1895. Tianjin was the birth of basketball in China and expanded to other areas of the country through the years. The Nike Air Foamposite One Tianjin is dressed in traditional Chinese art seen on the upper. Lotus flowers and a koi fish illustrations are vividly detailed on the upper in astonishing colors. Featured on the tongue is a pink lotus flower. Black wraps around the lace system and collar area. A soft pink hits the outsole. The foamposite was exclusively sold oversees in China first and caused hysteria as countless fans gathered to cop a pair. It released February 7, 2015.
