A Bathing Ape (BAPE) is an iconic streetwear brand originating from Tokyo, Japan. Created and designed by Nigo, the brand literally began on the street being sold on hand and advertised through friends wearing the products. Inspired by the movie “Planet of the Apes”, themes and elements of the brand are taken from the movie. BAPE is well known for camouflage prints, letterman jackets, signature sneaker with lightning zap and star on it, and logo of an ape. They are also known for their high prices and limitation on well-made products that make consumer want a high demand for the products.
