Ruslan Karablin is a Brooklyn based artist/designer who is better known by the name SSUR and he has teamed up with Converse to craft a shoe that is an homage to the streets he grew up on. Dubbed the Great Black Converse Pro Leather 76.
The black nubuck shoe features leather detailing on the lace plate while a perforations imply the Converse brand on the side. The textural play doesn’t stop there either with a neoprene tongue making just as strong a statement as the rest of the shoe while gold accents like shark tooth jewelry and branding provides a strong contrast to the whole design. These are set to launch on August 20th at Undefeated and select other retailers. Undefeated will also host a release party on that date from 8PM-11PM at their Los Angeles store. Via SC
