From a small town near Wapakoneta, Ohio to the unexplored terrain of the Moon, astronaut Neil Armstrong accomplished a feat that many dream of but only few have gotten to experience first hand. Sole Classics and Vans Vault put their creative geniuses together to re-design the Sk8-Hi Reissue Zip LX silhouette into a functional, themed piece.
The shoe is outfitted with an all-over White canvas upper to match the iconic suit worn by astronauts. Red accents on the heel patch, rear zip pull tab, and branded mid tab give it a classic feel while the double Blue eye-lets complete the overall look. Black touches are seen on the laces and zip area for contrasting hits. The shoe is structured with Outlast technology, which is intended to keep your feet warm in the cold, and cool in the heat.
The special edition sneaker will be released in-store on Saturday, January 31st 2015 for $150 USD at Sole Classics.
