In celebration of its 10th anniversary, retailer, Sneakers76, based in Taranto, Italy, has joined forces with adidas Consortium to release a unique take on the classic adidas EQT Running Guidance 93.
Flaunting a vibrant color blocked aesthetic inspired by the sea surrounding the city in southern Italy, aquatic green is dominant on the toe to represent Taranto’s natural harbor — known to locals as the Small Sea — while the mid-foot section is symbolic of the swing bridge, Ponte Girevole, which crosses the edge of the harbor. The grey accents are a similar shade to the modern bridge while the golden brown hits is a nod to the wooden structure which formerly stood in its place.
This combination of new and old elements is further continued with seafoam green accents on the rear, which represents the Big Sea — the open ocean which Taranto overlooks.
You can expect to find this limited edition pair at Sneakers76 first on September 17th, while more adidas Consortium accounts will have the pair available later this month.
I’m a fan of the silhouette in general and this color combination is really appealing. The theme is pretty cool as well and I like how the colors were placed altogether.
