Not too long ago, Ronnie Fieg gave us a first look at his upcoming collaboration with Italian footwear brand, Diadora. Using the Intrepid model as it’s blank canvas, both brand got together to create what is officially known as the Ronnie Fieg x Diadora Intrepid “From Seoul to Rio”. Today we get a closer look at this upcoming release via these detailed images.
Paying homage to the 2016 Rio Olympics, the collaboration is a part of the From Seoul to Rio Collection. Right off the bat, the first feature that catches my eye is the use of different colors to make up the upper. The used of color is said to be inspired by the colors of important and popular world class track club from the late ’80s. The premium upper comes in shades of Teal, Light Orange, Washed Navy, Pale Pink, and Soft Grey. A rugged pebbled nubuck is combined with the lush pigskin suede on the forefoot. Branding hits appear on the tongue, which also happen to come with pull tabs. Even more of the same colors make up the bold-looking outsole, while two sets of multicolored woven laces tie up the entire look together. Limited to only 500 pairs, the the Ronnie Fieg x Diadora Intrepid “From Seoul to Rio” will release on August 20th at KITH and KITHNYC.com at 11AM EST for the retail price of $180. Will you try to get a pair of this limited release?
I really want a pair. I love the colors used on the shoe and the price is fair for what you’re getting. They’re pretty limited so I’m going to try and not get my hopes up too much.
