Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand aren’t the only ones celebrating a 30th anniversary. Patrick Ewing and Ewing Athletics are also paying tribute to the 30th anniversary of the year that the NBA legend was drafted. Ewing may not have gotten his own sneaker right when he was drafted into the NBA, but in 1989 he became the first basketball player to have his own shoe company! Who else can say that? Remember that Jordan Brand is still a part of Nike.
In remembrance of being drafted #1 overall in the 1985 draft, Ewing Athletics is planning on releasing a special edition of the Ewing 33 Hi. After showing you a preview of this shoe a couple of weeks ago, we have now learned that the Ewing 33 Hi “Draft Lottery” will be arriving at select retailers on June 5th for a retail price of $120.
