Reebok continues to make major moves in the Mixed Martial Arts world. A couple of weeks ago Reebok and world-leading MMA organization UFC agreed upon a long-term deal for Reebok to become the exclusive authentic global outfitter for UFC. Reebok will also be creating UFC “Fight Week Gear” and a “Fight Night Kit” for all UFC athletes. Reebok will also be the apparel provider for millions of UFC fans around the world.
Over a month ago UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones was trying to work out a partnership with Reebok and not only did Reebok land the poster-boy of the UFC, they also added the best women’s MMA fighter in perhaps the history of the sport and the Women’s Bantamweight Champion, Ronda Rousey. Jones and Rousey will be working closely with Reebok to help launch the brand’s new UFC apparel line, as well as a collection of footwear and apparel specifically for MMA athletes.
“Not only are Ronda and Jon admired by millions of UFC fans, but they also are among the fittest, most disciplined athletes in the world, and an inspiration to the millions of people around the globe who train like fighters,” said Matt O’Toole, President, Reebok. “We’re looking forward to working with each of them and tapping into their insight and expertise to create world-class training products and fight gear.”
Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey will be joining Anthony Pettis and Johny Hendricks as a part of Reebok’s growing roster of UFC athletes.
