Being homegrown to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, it’s no exaggeration that the Alife Rivington Club has made a huge impact on that community and the entire street culture as an entity. The A.R.C. is also no stranger to collaborations, and over the years it looks like they’ve become pretty good at it. Even with their collaboration with outdoors brand Timberland; the simplicity in design made the boot one of the more sought after boots in the footwear industry. Now it looks like the most recent name to be pulled out of the ol’ Alife hat was Asics‘ Onitsuka Tiger. The Two have come together to produce two different colorways of the Gel Lyte III sneaker. The sneaker looks like a nice mixture between the ever-so-hard-to-clean suede and the durable nylon fabric.
The sneaker is set to come in a contruction and white color way and a clean all grey colorway with hints of orange. Both sneakers also feature the infamous ‘Rivington Club’ tag on the heel. The sneakers are set to release in May of this year (2008). The products will be limited to 216 pairs only, not per color way. The sneakers will be distributed exclusively through Alife Rivington Club locations. Check the pictures after the jump.
