The Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro MPLS pays homage to a classic style with the 2006 Nike Zoom Kobe 1 MPLS colorway. Coming back for 2018, the shoe is also a nod to the Detroit Gems franchise which would then become the Lakers. The team moved to Minneapolis in 1947, and its name was changed to the Lakers to reflect the Minnesota state nickname, “Land of 10,000 Lakes.” The iconic colorway of grey, university blue and white are basically coated on this updated version of Kobe Bryan’t first signature shoe.
