Leo Chang is the man responsible for designing Kevin Durant’s signature basketball shoe. The Nike Zoom KD III is the athlete’s most recent and strongest piece of footwear to date and to help shed a little light on the origins, process and purpose of the sneaker Chang answered a few questions on Facebook.
Highlights of this conversation include the reasoning of the under $100 price point and also just how involved Durant was in the design process. He actually invited his teammates to help with the visual end of things and tossed in a lot of easter eggs that reveal parts of his personality.
