The Nike Sabrina 1 is inspired by Ionescu’s Romanian heritage and features a special pattern on the forefoot and eyestays that pay homage to traditional Romanian art and architecture. The Nike Sabrina 1 is equipped with full-length Nike React cushioning combined with a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. Taking a deeper dive, you will find a message that reads “Anyone, Anywhere” embedded into midsole as reference to Ionescu’s unmatched competitive spirit as well as her belief that dreamers can come from anywhere. The sneaker also includes a midfoot band system with lockdown cables to help keep the foot secured. This pair gets covered in a couple of shades of grey all over the engineered mesh upper with White detailing on the embroidered Swooshes on the side panels as well as the entire rubber sole unit. As a finishing touch we see Sabrina’s “S” logo placed on the tongues, insoles, and underfoot, as well as her signature on the heels.
