KoF Mailbox DX: Nike Vapor Untouchable Swag Bag O’ Plenty

DSC_2638

This past week, Nike US Football invited Kicks On Fire and media from all around the world to witness the launch of the Nike Vapor Untouchable Performance System, which includes the new uniforms that Nike-sponsored schools and the NFL will be wearing in the near future and the new Nike Vapor Untouchable II cleat. As part of the trip, we got to see the new gear for the first time, talk to Nike athlete LaMike James and Nike Senior Designer Jeff Rasmussen, check out the Nike employee store and visit Autzen Stadium, home of the Ducks.

If you were following us on Twitter this past Wednesday, you probably saw a few tweets from us as we took a tour of the stadium and the Ducks’ administrative building, which might be the most impressive and advanced of its kind. It helps when Phil Knight is an alumnus of course, so they have first crack at everything new that’s Nike, including the new Untouchable cleats.

We had a chance to try on the cleats and do some training drills not unlike what the Ducks do on a regular basis. Also included with the cleats is maybe the most gear we have ever received for one event. If it’s not the most, it is certainly up there. Check out our impressions of the cleats (if you’ve got wide feet, it ain’t for you) and all of the stuff that we got from the swoosh.
