Nothing new or unexpected here, but being that this is a sneaker blog, we thought we would let you know that Nike is once again the most valuable apparel brand in the world. Now in its tenth edition, Millard Brown just published their most valuable global brand’s in the world list, and when it comes to apparel/clothing companies, Nike continues to regin supreme.
What makes this even more impressive, is that Nike is not only competing against other sportswear brands, they’re also completing against high-end luxury brands. With that being said, Nike is still more valuable than high-end brands such as Louis Vuitton, Zara and Hermes. Something that helped propel Nike to the top is the emergence of leisurely activewear and the resurgence of ‘sophisticated’ sport, such as a dressed up windbreakers and sweatpants. Nike actually went up 21% dating back to last year’s numbers. Here is how the top 5 rounded out.
