With the World Cup in our rear view and the US Open on the horizon the torch has officially been passed from soccer to tennis and Nike is running with it. New Yorker’s may have noticed scaffolding erected on Canal and Varick and wondered what is being installed and thanks to Twitter we finally know. It looks like Nike has installed a temporary tennis court that will open ahead of the US Open. The pop up court is being build to bring attention to their new duds that includes performance and lifestyle wear but more importantly will play host to a tennis match that is set to go for 95 hours straight. Sheesh! It looks like the city that never sleeps finally has something to do with that insomnia.
