Some people say if it’s not broke then don’t fix it. But a good upgrade in technology can breathe new life into a sneaker, not that the Nike Air Trainer SC needs a boost though. The Bo Jackson approved kicks have been around since its glory days in the 80s. And most reiterations generally get scooped up by the sneaker community immediately, especially the Auburn colorway. But today we get a look at an upgrade that may arouse new pings in the hearts of sneakerheads, or maybe even grab some of the new one’s that don’t know. The new version has been dubbed the Nike Lunar 180 Trainer SC.

The Nike Lunar 180 Trainer SC is almost a shell of its old self. The kicks feature almost the same framework but the materials used have been bolstered. They look to have used hyperfuse on the upper, coupled with the mesh usually accompanying the fuse. The lunar in the new name is derived from the Nike lunarlon sole that now rests below the upper. The colorway pictured is reminiscent of the “Auburn” colorway but not quite. When we have more info on the kicks we’ll let you know. Keep it locked people.
