As a kid, not only was Kyrie Irving practicing his ball-handling skills to become one of the best point guards in the league, he also spent a good amount of his childhood on a skateboard. The latest GS version of the Nike Kyrie 2 pays homage to one of Kyrie’s favorite hobbies as a teenager, skateboarding. Let’s go ahead and take a look at the official images of the Nike Kyrie 2 GS Skateboard.
One of the most notable features on the shoe comes in the form of the skateboard icon placed on the tongue of the shoe. Adding to the skateboard theme of the shoe is the skull graphic placed on the side of the shoe which happens to have a skateboard in his mouth. The shoe comes in a black upper with hits of Hyper Jade placed on the lining and skateboard on the tongue of the shoe. The shoe is then added a white midsole and translucent outsole to complete the look. Slated to drop February 6th for $100, what do you think about the Nike Kyrie 2 GS Skateboard?
It’s a cool theme being that Kyrie used to like skateboarding as a kid. I’m just curious to see if kids who are into skateboarding will buy a basketball shoe with a skating theme, instead of buying an actual skate shoe. I guess we will have to wait and see how it does, right?
