The Nike Kobe 11 is set to make its debut next week when it releases on January 9th in the Achilles Heel colorway. But before we are able to get our hands on them and our feet in them, the Black Mamba had to break a few necks earlier this week.
When the Lakers faced the Celtics this week in what was ultimately Kobe Bryant’s final game in Boston, he decided to bring out some heat and rock the Nike Kobe 11 for the first time ever. Today we show you some close-up images of the same pair that he wore that game which matched up perfectly with this Lakers jersey. This version of the Kobe 11 comes with a purple gradient Fyknit upper that shifts to black towards the heel. A grey/silver Swoosh and an icy blue translucent outsole can also be seen on this Kobe 11. Another cool addition on this pair appears on the heel of the kicks where we see the numbers 8 and 24, both of the numbers that Kobe wore during his NBA career.
No release date exists yet for this purple Kobe 11 but we’ll being you more updates as soon as we know more.
The 8 and 24 on the heel are a super dope touch. Kobe did so much while wearing both numbers that it’s hard to say which one the Lakers should retire. Both? Why not. As for this colorway, I think it should be an automatic cop if you’re a Lakers fan. I’ll pass on these.
