The Nike Kobe 11 Achilles Heel is set to be the first colorway of the Nike Kobe 11 to release. Set to drop on January 9th, let’s take a look at these new set of images that show the shoe from several different angles.
The man behind the design, Eric Avar has let us know that the Kobe 11 is an updated version of the Nike Kobe 10. The major difference is that the Kobe 11 incorporates pearlescent TPU threads on its upper, as well as a stronger version of the Flyknit technology that in turn provides more support. The updated enhancements on the Nike Kobe 11 are also said to provide higher performance, lightweight and responsiveness. The shoe will also come with a full-length Lunarlon foam and Zoom unit in the heel. Coming in a red and black aesthetic, the shoe is also said to pay homage to the Greek god Achilles as well as Kobe’s season-ending surgery back in 2013. A graphic of the Greek god Achilles appears on the right heel, while the left heel has four-stitch marks that represent the four feet of thread used in Bryant’s 2013 Achilles surgery. Set to retail at $200, let us know what you think about this debut colorway of the Nike Kobe 11.

I like the look of the Nike Kobe 10, which can be easily seen on the aesthetics of the Nike Kobe 11. Avar mentioned that it’s essentially updated version of the Kobe 10, which I’m perfect fine with. Colorway is pretty sweet, too.
