Arriving at select Nike retailers this weekend will be the latest installment in the Nike KD Aunt Pearl series.

As you may already know, the Nike KD 8 Aunt Pearl is inspired by Kevin Durant’s aunt Pearl who passed away in 2000 due to lung cancer. Releasing on Monday, February 22nd will be the KD 8 version of the Aunt Pearl colorway which features a pink and purple floral graphic all throughout the Flyweave upper with black accents on both Swooshes. More pink detailing has been added on the outsole, inner liner, laces and on the Kay Yow Cancer Fund ribbon on the heel. Finishing things off is a white midsole.

Retailing for $200, will you be picking up a pair? Be sure to visit our Nike KD 8 Aunt Pearl hub page for the latest images, videos and other updates regarding this release.

Author’s Take

I’ve never really been a fan of pink sneakers but the message and inspiration behind this colorway make it a pair worth having. Having said that I don’t expect to pick up a pair for myself.
