Bearing strong similarities to its predecessor, the main highlight of the Nike KD 14 consists of its distinctive upper as well as the return of the cross strap at the mid-foot — a design element which has been absent since the KD 7. “It’s been a while since we incorporated the strap, which excites me,” says Durant. Additionally, the silhouette is enhanced with a full-length Zoom Air Strobel in the underfoot which provides responsiveness on the court, as Durant explained, “My other favorite part about the shoe is the cushioning, which helps me feel low to the ground and still helps give me some of that energy back.”
