Black and Gold is one of those color combinations that looks good on (almost) every sneaker. That’s certainly the case with this new colorway of the all-new Nike Cortez Ultra.

Worn by Bruno Mars during his halftime performance during Super Bowl 50, this Ultra version of the Nike Cortez comes with a predominantly black upper and hits of gold landing on the Swoosh, heel tab, and tongue branding. Contrasting white detailing then appears on the midsole and outsole to finish off the look.

Author’s Take

I’ve never owned a pair of the Nike Cortez but I’ll admit that this colorway caught my attention because it’s hard not to like a black and gold sneaker. I still don’t plan on copping though.
