Day of the Dead motifs are one of my favorites. It’s a little dark, a little dead and a whole lot of dope. This time around, we’re catching a pretty phenomenal view of the Nike Cortez–one that you’ll not want to pass up.

To keep to the festivities, we see a black and orange makeup take hold of the silhouette. A sugar skull is embroidered along the footbeds and a floral arrangement follows in suit along the upper and embroidered on the heel. It’s easy to assume that these will go fast considering their October 31st release date at select Nike retailers. Are you copping?

Author’s Take

The Nike Cortez has never actually been one of my favorite silhouettes, but dang. I mean, DANG GINA (pardon my substitution). I’m really digging these, especially the sugar skull. It keeps the Dia de los Muertos vibe alive while also delivering a design that will kill it on the streets.
