When Nike revealed their new Hexagonal Zoom Air technology in the Nike LeBron 12 yesterday, you had to believe that it was only going to be a matter of time before we saw the new Zoom make their way onto other kicks and other categories. Turns out that wait was all of one day…
Launching alongside the Nike LeBron 12 is the new Nike Zoom Hypercross Trainer featuring Hexagonal Zoom Air. By utilizing hexagon Zoom bags, Nike is able to use pressure maps and other data to provide specific levels of cushioning in different parts of the forefoot while also allowing for more articulation and bigger amount of freedom to move which makes for those who will actually use these kicks as trainers.
The other features of the shoe a lightweight mesh upper (no Megafuse here, kids), synthetic leather overlays and Dynamic Flywire. And true to Nike form, the launch colorway will come in volt because of course it will. Nike athletes featured wearing the Zoom Hypercross Trainer include James Harden, DeSean Jackson and Richard Sherman.
The Nike Zoom Hypercross Trainer drops October 10.
