Tomorrow is the day that we’ll finally see the release of Victor Cruz’s first signature shoe, the Nike Air Trainer Cruz.
Debuting in this Haystack colorway, the Nike Air Trainer Cruz has that retro trainer look as it takes inspiration from Bo Jackson’s Nike Air Trainer 1. Aside from the wheat nubuck upper we also see black detailing on the inner liner and midsole with red accents on the Swoosh by the ankle as well as on the speckling on the midsole. Another unique featire of the shoe is the fact that it has two straps, one on the midfoot and another on the heel. A nice surprise pops up when you open up the midfoot strap as it reads “Dance To Greatness” since we all know about Cruz’s popular Salsa dance that he does in the end zone after every touchdown he scores.
Releasing at select Nike retailers tomorrow for $150, do you see yourself picking up the Nike Air Trainer Cruz in this Haystack colorway or will you wait to pick up a different color? Don’t forget to check out our Nike Air Trainer Cruz page for any updates regarding the shoe.
I’ve taken a few different looks at a few different colorways of the new Air Cruz and it’s beginning to grow on me. I like the trainer/lifestyle look which makes the shoe very versatile. I look forward to maybe picking up a colorway in the future.
