Vintage basketball sneakers are slowly but sure making a comeback to the modern era. From Kobe’s adidas Crazy 2 making a comeback to the Nike Zoom Fight 98 making its triumphant return last year, it seems like fans of these “vintage” sneakers (yes, the 90’s were a long time ago!), have been getting all kinds of nostalgia with all these 90’s basketball releases. Now, the latest throwback sneaker making it’s return is none other than the Nike Air Hawk Flight.
Although the Nike Air Hawk Flight was never a signature shoe of Gary Payton, it certainly was associated with Payton being that he used to rock it on a daily basis back in 1997. The Nike Air Hawk Flight rose in popularity because of this and it;s clearly the reason why it probably received the retro treatment. The shoe’s silhouette is distinguishable by its strong traits such as its metallic lateral support wing and overall bulky appearance. Coming in a white upper with hits of black in corresponding areas, the Nike Air Hawk Flight looks to mimic its appearance as close as it can to the 1997 version used by GP. The shoe is then offset by a red outsole and Nike branding on the tongue and side panels, thus completing the look of the Nike Air Hawk Flight. No word on the release, but we are definitely expecting it to be sooner rather than later. Did you own a pair of these joints back in the day? Let us know in the comments below.
