nike-air-force-1-black-history-month-2010-1

February isn’t only reserved for lover’s. It’s the month of the year that is also designated for celebrating black history and the rich heritage that many African American’s have helped to cultivate in America.

The offering that Nike has set aside is an Air Force 1 silhouette done in all black with a laser etched upper. The shoe is trimmed in red and green with a black patent leather swoosh. The etching is a quote that states: “The definition of a renaissance individual: one who possesses a multitude of skills, talent and a broad base of knowledge” in various fonts. Proceeds from the shoes will be donated to Cheyney University, the oldest black institution. Look for these to hit select shelves on February 18th and below is a complete listing of the stores.
