When you see the Air Jordan 2 make an NBA Kicks headline and the name “P.J. Tucker” is involved, the first thing that comes to mind is “oh dear God, he wore the ‘Iron Purple’ colorway.” As we talked about earlier this week, the Air Jordan 2 (along with many others) is a sneaker that did not need more colorways that what we already had. The reasons varied from sneaker to sneaker, but mostly in came down to a sneaker being exposed to too many colorways or the non-OG colorways that dropped were ugly as sin. Guess which side the Air Jordan 2 and the retros from this year lies?
Now, we’re not going to sit here and claim victory because Tucker did not wear the more Phoenix Suns-friendly “Iron Purple” but took a more simplistic approach with his choice of 2s. Either way, we won in the long run…
As for the rest of the night in kicks, Markieff Morris wore the “Pewter” Foamposites for an encore, James Harden rocked the Nike Zoom Run The One in Mexico, Kobe Bryant keeps on trucking (and shooting) in a Nike Kobe 9 Elite and much more.
