In the past, LeBron James was staunchly against retro versions of his signature shoes. It makes sense; James is still in the prime of his career and doesn’t want to look back just yet. But he knows that there are kids out there who have grown up following him and rocking his kicks the same way that people grew up watching all the greats from the ’80s and ’90s and how the retro game is big business for those athletes today. He’ll get there eventually, just not right now.
What he does do right now though is wear the original models, which might be a cause for concern if you’ve seen what’s become of Nick Young, Tony Wroten and Manu Ginobili. But James didn’t seem to have a sneaker malfunction when he wore his Nike Zoom LeBron 2 Triple Double for Hardwood Classics last night, just size issues.
Check out LeBron wearing his old kicks and below let us know if the 2 is something you would like to see make a comeback in the next few years.
