Kevin Garnett has always been one that stood out from the crowd. Whether it was his straight out of high school path to the NBA, his amazing skill set that few big men in league history could match and his intense demeanor that occasionally borders on psychotic, he has never been one to conform to the status quo. The same could also be said about his sneaker journey, which had trips to Nike (with an occasional unofficial stopovers with Jordan Brand), AND1, adidas and most recently, ANTA.
On Thursday night, “The Kid” (well, for those of us who still remember when he really was a kid) made NBA history by not only scoring his 25,000th point in his ANTA KG 3 but standing alone as the only player with at least 25,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 5,000 assists, 1,500 blocks and 1,500 steals, oh, and 1 championship ring. Love KG or hate him, the numbers don’t lie. Now if only he can patch things up with Tim Duncan so we can get back this, we’ll be good then.
