How do you know it’s real?  When Joe Johnson wears them.  Even though Johnson has slowly become one of the longest tenured athletes in the Jordan Brand roster, his role has been to rock the most recent performance models rather than be a glorified hype man for their retro drops.  Probably because they have a million players that rock retros without having to pay them, Jordan Brand is perfectly content to let Johson rock kicks like the Super.Fly or the Aero Flight or even the most Air Jordan, because God forbid somebody wears non-retro Jordans in this day and age.

That doesn’t mean the lowkey Johnson doesn’t get a chance to go back in time every once in a while, however.  Last night against the Chicago Bulls, Johnson brought out the highly anticipated Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny” in front of a nationally televised audience (subtle, Jordan Brand…).  The Nets might have lost in a close game, but sneakerheads won on this night for they finally saw the “Bugs Bunny” – which we listed pretty high on our Top 10 Kicks to watch for in April list – on the court.
