Dirk Nowitkzi passed the ‘friggin logo on Tuesday night. No really, that’s what he said when he was told that he was closing in on Jerry West’s spot on the NBA’s all-time scoring list and appropriately he passed said logo with a three-point shot. Now Dirk sits alone at number 16 on the list, but it won’t be long before he passes Reggie Miller and Kevin Garnett (Dirk is averaging three times more points than KG per game this season) and makes a run for the top 10 by next season.
While Dirk isn’t known for rocking what sneakerheads normally consider “heat”, he at least passed West in a PE version of the Nike Hyperdunk 2012. Somebody really should tell him though that there’s a 2013 edition now.
As for the rest of the night in kicks, Xavier Henry continues to give Laker fans some semblance of hope in the Nike Kobe 8 “Purple Platinum”, Will Bynum and Michael Beasley go basic, LeBron James double dips with the Nike LeBron 10 and Nike LeBron 11 and much more.
