Hey sneakerheads, want to feel old? It’s been 21 months since the Nike Zoom KD 4 “Black History Month” dropped. Do you remember where you were when you picked up your pair or any pair from Nike’s 2012 “BHM” collection? How many times have you actually worn your pair since? Have you kept it deadstock? Did you fall to the temptation and sold high? Do you even know what the print on the Adaptive Fit strap means? Do you realize that you’re closer to Nike’s 2014 “BHM” collection than you are to the 2013 edition that dropped THIS YEAR?
Better yet, do you remember the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 “Aston Martin”? Do you know what the story behind those were, or is it too far back in history because it was pre-Instagram so you have no idea what the hell that is? You should probably look up these two kicks – courtesy of Jarrett Jack and Derrick Williams – because they headline this edition of the NBA Kicks recap. With so many sneakers that have dropped in the past four to five years, we can literally have a different headliner every night, there’s that many. And yes, that’s a good thing, #JDF
As for the rest of the night in kicks, we’ve got Tony Allen in the adidas D Rose 4, Tony Wroten rocking the Air Jordan 18 and “The Glove”, Rajon Rondo stepping onto the court again (wait for it…), another appearance by the Li-Ning Way of Wade 2 “Veteran’s Day” and much more.
