Derek Jeter and Micheal Jordan will always have mad love for the game of baseball. Although one hasn’t played in decades and the other recently retired, both appear to be coming back to the diamond, this time as part-MBL franchise owners.

Jeter and Jordan (along with New York businessman Bill Sherman) are a part of the 16 investors looking to purchase MLB’s Miami Marlins. They’v all come together to purchase the team from current owner Jeffrey Loria for approximately $1.2 billion dollars.

According to the Miami Herald Jeter is contributing around $25 million to the purchase and is being handed the keys to the franchise. No word on how much Jordan will be putting in the pot, but regardless of how much he contributes, it’s safe to say that the Miami will soon be a Jumpman city. Stay tuned.
