Alongside its recent collaboration with Puma on the Blaze of Glory, Barcelona-based retailer LimitEditions now aligns with Asics to reinterpret its signature Gel Lyte 5.

Inspired by the late surrealist Spanish painter Salvador Dali and his popular “La Persistencia de la Memoria” or in English (The Persistence of Memory) – the iconic painting is apparently based on a dream that Salvador Dalí had, where clocks represent the abnormal passing of time whilst one is dreaming.

Overall comprised of a Black nubuck base with an Orange neoprene sock that features ants embroidered throughout, other elements of the painting’s desert setting is seen on the heel counter with a woven Sand dune, while juxtaposed against a heel clip in Blue to symbolize the serene sky.

All resting atop a White midsole unit with Black speckles, while finished with a Tan outsole, look for this special LimitEditions x Asics Gel Lyte 5 “SurrEDaliste” at select Asics retailers now, as well as through Kixify.
