Last week we showed you this Nike SB Dunk High that resembled the surface of a moon. Well we now have the official name and story behind the sneaker that has been dubbed the “Salt Stain.”
This Nike SB Dunk High was designed by Anthony Hart and was inspired by cold climates and the damage they do to our sneakers. Hart took a sneaker and distressed the upper to make it look as if it were in the midst of harsh winter. The idea behind this concept came from living in the East Coast and how the floor gets covered with snow during the Winter and messes up your sneakers when you walk in the streets.
He wanted to give the kicks a “Jordan vibe” by using the SB Dunk High that Jordan Brand has worked with this year, a translucent Space Jam-looking sole and the same inner lining of the Air Jordan 10 “Chicago.” Another dope feature of these shoes is that no two pairs are the same because since they printed on a big roll every pattern is stamped out in a different spot. The upper is constructed of suede with the tongue being made of mesh. Hit up your local Nike SB retailer now for availability.
