Today we begin a new series that highlights our top/most read stories of the week as chosen by you, our loyal readers/supporters. Social media is a very powerful tool these days so whenever there’s breaking news or something that needs to be shared in in an instant, we can use anything from Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and even Snapchat to get that information out. This series will focus on our one of our social media outlets, specifically our Instagram account.

If you follow us on IG (if you don’t then you’re missing out and you should follow us now) then you’ve probably noticed that in lots of our post we advise you to “click the link in our bio.” The main goal for that is so we can direct you to a certain piece of news on the site that we feel is important. It’s a quick way for us to connect you to the site in the click (or touch) of a button.

This week there was a variety of interesting/important news from various brands including Nike, Vans, Jordan Brand, Asics, Saucony and Under Armour. It was a very diverse week, which we always enjoy. So without further ado, here are our top 10 stories from the Kicks On Fire Instagram. We hope you enjoy!

10Saucony Originals Spring Collection

Red Street Car

This week we got one of our first looks at what Saucony Originals will be releasing this Spring and people were impressed to say the least. In the preview we saw many different silhouettes including the Grid 9000, Shadow 5000, and the Grid 8000 CL. Are you a fan of Saucony? If you are which silhouette is your favorite?

9Asics Gel Lyte 3 Mint / Burgundy

Red Street Car

You wouldn’t think that mint/teal and burgundy would look good together right? Well somehow Asics found a way to pull it off on this pair of Gel Lyte 3s. The perforated nubuck teal upper is complemented nicely by the burgundy solid nubuck mudguard. What do you think about these Gel Lyte 3 fans? Do you think they would be more popular if say Ronnie Fieg was attached to them?

8adidas Tubular Doom In Grey

Titolo

After releasing last weekend in a collaboration with Ronnie Fieg/Kith, the popularity of the adidas Tubular Doom is at an all-time high at the moment. The cool thing about all of these non-collaboration pairs is that you’ll have an easier time grabbing a pair and their resell price isn’t $400. Unless the only reason lots of people liked it was BECAUSE it was a collaboration???

7Air Jordan 10 Black OVO

gc911

The all-white Air Jordan 10 OVO that released last year was an instant hit and we expect the same exact craze with this all-black version. There has been rumors that these kicks may see a limited release during All Star Weekend with a wider drop in March, but we’re still waiting for confirmation. Do you think these 10s are all hype or are they really dope?

6Nike Air Foamposite University Blue

Nike

Official images of the first Foamposite release of 2016 were released this week and many people are excited. Nike has gone to their old formula of releasing tonal colorways of the Foam (for the most part) and hardcore fans of the silhouette appreciate it. Do you plan on picking up a pair on February 5th?

5Under Armour Curry Two Storm

Stephen Curry is playing like an MVP once again this season and your’e guranteed to see him land on the SportsCenter Top 10 Plays on any given night. The latest Storm colorway draws inspiration from Steph and the Warriors “making it rain” from downtown. It’s pretty much an all-white sneaker with some subtle grey and mint detailing. Nothing too special, but definitely clean and easy to wear.

4BAIT x Saucony Shadow 5500 Giant Leaps

BAIT

With every new release that BAIT and Saucony release more and more people are beginning to notice. The NASA-style graphics on this Shadow 5500 along with the fact that these two brand are partnering up with Follow Your Dreams from the U.K., which is a charity that supports children with learning disabilities, adds to the cool factor of this release. Will you be picking up a pair tomorrow?

3Vault By Vans Spring 2016 Collection

Vans

There’s lots of hardcore and loyal Vans out there that like rocking their kicks as a daily sneaker because of how easy thy are to wear and their classic. This weeks Vans by Vault unveiled their new Spring Collection that comes adorned with premium materials such as leather and pony hair along with some trendy patterns and prints including zebra and cheetah print. Will you take a walk on the wild side and cop a pair when they release next month?

2Nike Unveils The Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit

Nike

Nike finally took the time this week to unveil the Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit which we have been getting early looks at since last Summer. To know that the shoe weighs half as much as the original Air Force 1 and that the midsole/outsole has been modified to be more comfortable is great news. The first few colorways released yesterday and the multicolor option is already gone on Nike.com. Do you plan on picking up a pair in the future?

1Air Jordan 11 72-10 Restock Is On The Horizon

Nike

Even though the Air Jordan 11 72-10 didn’t sell out instantly on the weekend that it released, it did sell out a couple of days later. Many people contemplated too much on whether or not to cop a pair and when they decided that they did it was too late. If you’re one of those people then we advise that you wait because a few restocks are guaranteed to happen. The first restock is expected to come on All Star Weekend (February 12-14) at select retailers including Finish Line and  Eastbay. Do you plan on doubling up or picking up your first pair this go-around?
